Once you have the Responsive package installed and set up on your Salesforce account you can set up Proposal Builder.
If you need to install and configure Responsive on Salesforce:
Setting up Proposal Builder on Salesforce
- Click the App Launcher
icon and select View All, then select Sales from the App Launcher pop-up. The Sales page with all tabs displays. - Add the tabs to your landing page, then configure the objects.
Configuring objects
Once you add the tabs to your landing page, you can customize the layout for each of these to display Responsive projects. To expand the default UI and display the Responsive projects:
- Click the Settings
icon and select Setup. - From the left navigation pane, click Platform Tools > Objects and Fields > Object Manager.
- Click Opportunity and use the search box to locate the object you want.
- From the left navigation pane, click Page Layouts, then click Opportunity Layout.
- From the Fields option, select Section and drag and drop it under Opportunity Details.

- On the Section Properties pop-up, enter Responsive Proposal Builder in the Section Name field and click the 1-Column layout button.
- Click OK.
- Click Visualforce Pages, then drag and drop ResponsiveProposalOpportunity into the Responsive Proposal Builder section.

- Click the Settings icon, or double-click on the layout, to bring up the Visualforce Page Properties pop-up.
- Type 800 in the Height (in pixels) field to add extra space when viewing the projects.
- Select the Show Scrollbars and/or Show Label checkboxes if applicable.
- Click OK. When the layout displays, click Save.
Repeat a similar process to edit the layouts for other object types such as Leads and Accounts.
Connecting to Responsive
After completing the setup above, you must connect to Responsive from Salesforce in order to launch Responsive projects, associate existing projects from Responsive to Salesforce, or remove any associated projects.
- Click Connect To Responsive, login with your Responsive credentials, and click Continue. The Responsive Proposal Builder section displays as shown:

- Do the following as necessary:
Note: Once set up, you can also click Launch Responsive to launch the application in a new tab.- Generate new proposals.
- Associate proposals to existing opportunities.
- Remove associated proposals.
Generating new proposals
In Salesforce, open the Responsive Proposal Builder section and click New Proposal, then follow the instructions mentioned in this article.
Note: Before generating a proposal, please ensure the prerequisites mentioned here are fulfilled.

Associating proposals to existing opportunities
You can associate existing proposals from Salesforce or Responsive.
Note: The Salesforce
indicator appears next to proposals associated with Salesforce opportunities.
Associate existing proposals from Salesforce
- In Salesforce, open the Responsive Proposal Builder section and click Associate Existing Proposals.
- Select the proposal(s) and click Associate Existing Proposals.
Note: You can also bulk-select multiple proposals in Responsive and associate them to an Opportunity on Salesforce.
Associating existing proposals from Responsive
- In Responsive, select the proposal you want to associate with an opportunity and click Edit Proposal.
- Click the Salesforce
icon next to the proposal name. - Find and select the opportunity you want to the proposal with using the search box and click Add to create the association.
Note: You can also associate a proposal to an opportunity while creating a proposal on responsive using the same steps mention in this section.
Removing associated proposals
You can remove associated proposals from Salesforce or Responsive.
Removing associated proposals from Salesforce
In Salesforce, open the Responsive Proposal Builder section and click Remove Associated Proposals.
Click Remove Association and select the proposals, then click Save.

In Responsive, click the Trash
icon next to the proposal name.
Click Confirm on the Remove Association pop-up.
