Clearing your browser cache

Updated 6 seconds ago

Overview

When you experience page loading issues within the platform (the Content Library is unresponsive, for example), clearing your cache and refreshing your browser can help alleviate these issues.

Here are some common issues that clearing your cache can fix:

  • Login issues

  • System features, navigation buttons or fields not visible or grayed out

  • New release features do not appear

  • Images not populating (broken link appears)

  • Mouse, cursor, scroll or screen freezes

  • Product module pages not loading or not responding

  • My Work appears empty or does not display projects

Clearing Your Browser Cache

You can quickly clear your browser's cache using these shortcut keys:

  • Chrome & Firefox

    • Windows - CTRL + F5

    • MacOS - Command + Shift + R

  • Safari

    • Command + Option + E

  • Microsoft Edge

    • CTRL + Shift + Delete > Temporary Services and Files > Delete

In addition to clearing your cache, other troubleshooting best practices include:

  • Ensure that you're working in an updated version of a Chrome browser.
Note: Responsive is optimized for Chrome and is fully compatible with Edge Chromium, so you don't need to use it in Compatibility mode.

  • Only log into Responsive from one browser or tab.

If these quick fixes do not resolve the issue, determine whether the problem is affecting all users or only specific users.

  • If the issue is limited to a specific user or session: Before contacting Support, we recommend obtaining a screen recording from the affected user. Sharing this recording with Support can significantly help expedite troubleshooting.

  • If the issue persists or is business-critical (for example, an RFP deadline is approaching): Contact the Support team immediately at support@responsive.io and mark the request as High Priority.
