The Answering Agent is an interactive AI-powered tool that simplifies how teams respond to complex questionnaires such as RFPs, RFIs, and DDQs. You can use it in Slack to generate responses by simply uploading a document and prompting the Responsive bot.
See Responsive LookUp for Slack for setup help.
Permissions

- Users can only access and search collections based on their existing permissions.
Using Answering Agent in Slack (Responsive bot)
- In any Slack channel that has the Responsive bot enabled, use the + menu to upload your RFP or questionnaire file.
After uploading, @mention the Responsive bot with a natural language prompt like:
@Responsive generate answers
or
@Responsive respond to the questionnaire
- If your organization has datasets configured, the bot prompts you to choose one.
Note: You can skip this step if you want to proceed without utilizing datasets. - The File Mapping Agent identifies and extracts questions from the document. Once completed, select one of the two offered options:
- Review identified questions: Opens a Guided Project where you can review and edit questions.
- Generate responses: Proceeds to answer all identified questions using the Answering Agent.
- Once the answers are generated, the bot responds in the same Slack thread with:
- A summary of the total, answered, and skipped questions.
- A link to view and edit the responses in the associated Guided Project.
- A downloadable version of the updated file with responses.
