While viewing content in the Content Library, or answering questions using the Recommendation Engine, users can filter search results using the Advanced Search feature to find appropriate content quickly and easily.
Search filtering is also available while configuring the Content Library search filter within project settings, and while using the Auto-Respond feature.
Advanced Search filters can include some of the following options:
Keywords
Has Images, Attachments, Linked Content, Comments, or Alert Text
Tags and collections
Star Rating
Project Name and Section Name
Owners and Moderators
Each question has a unique ID number that is included in the Excel spreadsheet when you export content from your library. To search for a specific question, type id: followed by the question ID from the spreadsheet in the Search field.
The Recommendation Engine only searches active content by default. If you're not seeing the results you think you should, verify the project being searched is not archived.
Use boolean and fuzzy searches to narrow down your search.
Stop words (common words like a or the) are typically excluded automatically — if they aren't, Related Words or custom dictionary settings may be interfering. Ask your Admin to verify these settings if you're not seeing the results you think you should.
From the Content Library main page, click the Filter icon next to the search bar at the top of the page to expand it.
Select and/or add the filters you want to apply to the search (such as keywords, tags, moderators, or project name). You can:
Click Q&A Pairs, Documents, Sections, and/or Catalogs to narrow down your search.
Click + Add Filter to see more filter options.
Use the Add icon to add a filter and the Remove
icon to remove one.
Click Clear to reset the search criteria.
Click Apply.
