In the Content Library, owner(s) can be assigned to content so they can review content and ensure it is current and accurate on a cyclical basis.
Q: Why can't I save my review cycle changes?
A: If the Save button is disabled when configuring a review cycle, check the following:
That the Q&A pair has an assigned owner.
The Next Review Date is set before any follow-up review dates.
Any follow-up review dates occur after the primary review date.
For Sequential reviews, reviewer due dates are arranged in chronological order.
Any warning messages displayed after changing the review type have been acknowledged.
If the issue persists for specific users, but not administrators, contact the Support team for further investigation.
Q: Why can't I configure a review cycle for a certain Q&A pair?
A: A review cycle can only be configured for a Q&A pair that has at least one assigned owner. If no owner is assigned:
Scheduled review options may not be available.
Follow-up review dates cannot be configured.
Review tasks cannot be generated for the content.
Q: Why can't I set a follow-up review date?
A: You can configure up to four follow-up review dates only, and each follow-up date must occur after the Next Review Date. Ensure your changes meet this criteria.
Q: How are review dates calculated?
A: Your organization's Review Task Creation setting determines how many days before a review date a review task can be generated.
Note: Follow-up review dates configured on individual Q&A pairs override the organization-level follow-up review settings for that content.
For example:
Default Review Cycle = 90 days
Review Task Creation = 5 days
In this scenario, review dates can only be selected within the final five days of the review cycle (days 85–90).
When configuring custom review schedules or follow-up review dates, ensure the selected dates align with your organization's Review Task Creation settings.
Q: Who can complete a review?
A: Content owners are typically responsible for completing assigned reviews. However, administrators with the Edit All Content permission and approved Sequential Review Override roles can complete reviews on behalf of content owners. When Sequential review is enabled:
A minimum of two reviewers is required.
Each reviewer must have a due date later than the previous reviewer.
Individual reviewers participate in sequence.
Teams may be added as reviewers, but team reviews do not follow sequential due-date enforcement.
Q: What's the difference between scheduled reviews and on-demand reviews?
A: Scheduled reviews can include follow-up review dates that automatically remind content owners when a review remains incomplete after the primary review date. On-demand reviews do not use scheduled follow-up dates. Instead, reviewers are notified when the review is initiated.
If you require recurring reminders and automated review scheduling, use Content Library review cycles rather than on-demand reviews.
Q: Why does the review progress show "Reviewed 0%" even though the activity log shows the review is complete?
A: This usually happens because the formal review completion has not been recorded.
In Responsive, there are two separate review actions:
Marking a response as "Answer Reviewed" updates the status of individual Q&A pairs and is recorded in the activity log. However, this does not count as completing the section review.
Clicking "Complete Review" officially completes the review for the section and updates the review progress indicator in the top-right panel.
If a reviewer marks all responses as Answer Reviewed but does not click Complete Review, the review progress will continue to display Reviewed 0%.
Note: If the review process is set to All or Sequential, the review is only considered complete after all assigned reviewers have clicked Complete Review. If the process is set to Any, only one reviewer needs to complete the review.
Resolution:
Navigate to the reviewed section.
Open the More Options menu for the section.
Select Complete Review.
Ensure all required reviewers have completed the review based on the configured review process (Any, All, or Sequential).
Once the required reviewer(s) have completed their Review, the review progress indicator will update accordingly.
