Using role-based sequential edit overrides

Overview

If you have role-based sequential edit override permission you edit and complete reviews for Q&A content even if you’re not the assigned owner/reviewer. This helps avoid delays, handle exceptions, and ensure timely completion of critical reviews without being blocked by workflow dependencies.

Permissions

Only users who have been assigned authorized role-based sequential edit override can override sequential review restrictions. Unauthorized users must continue to follow the standard sequential review workflow without exception.

Using role-based sequential edit overrides

1. Go to the Content Library and locate the item that you want to review.

2. Click Complete Review, then click Mark all reviewers work as complete.

3. Click Yes on the Complete Review pop-up. All override actions are captured in the activity log.
