Using a one-time password to access Trust Center contents

Updated 1 minute ago

Overview

A one-time password (OTP) is a password that is valid for only one login session or transaction, providing a secondary layer of security for your Trust Center and its contents.

OTPs are part of Trust Center’s global access control and are issued in the following scenarios:

  • Requesting access to locked artifacts.

  • Requesting access to restricted Trust Centers.

  • Viewers with access to multiple Trust Centers from the same company can verify their email with an OTP once per company. Once they enter the OTP from the email to confirm their identity they can use a simple drop-down menu to switch between all the profiles they can see for that company, ensuring a smooth and secure viewing experience.

Requesting a Trust Center one-time password

  1. Click Get Access and enter your email address.

  2. Click Verify Access. Once your access is approved you're notified via email.

Note: Generally, the approval email is sent immediately. However, you can close the Access Request pop-up and come back to it if needed.

  3. Open the email and click View Trust Center. The Trust Center opens with an email verification pop-up and an OTP is generated and sent to your email.

  4. Copy the OTP from the email and enter it in the pop-up. The Trust Center opens with the content unlocked.

Troubleshooting: OTP Email Not Received

If a guest user does not receive the one-time passcode (OTP) email when accessing a Trust Center (Profile Center) or shared documents, verify the following:

  • Confirm whether the user's access was newly granted or extended/renewed. OTP behaviour may differ when access is extended rather than granted for the first time.

  • Ask the user to check their Spam/Junk folder for the OTP email.

  • Verify that the guest user's email address is correctly listed in the shared members list.

If the user still does not receive the OTP after completing these checks, contact Support and provide the following information:

  • Company ID

  • Trust Center (Profile Center) link

  • Affected guest user email address(es)
