Tags can be created in the Organization Settings which can be leveraged to tag content stored in your library.
Only Admins can create tags in Organization Settings.
Go to Organization Settings > Content Library > Tags and click Create New.
Enter a name for the tag, select the Primary Business Unit (PBU) if enabled for your company, and select the background and foreground color.
Note: If a BU is specified, the tags will be available only for that specific BU.
Individual tags have a maximum character limit of 100.
Tag names can't contain the special characters < or >.
Tags must have unique names.
Note: When content is migrated from one Responsive instance to another, a tag with the same name as an existing one may carry over and need to be removed from the platform. Duplicate tags don't appear in your organization's settings, you must contact our Support team and request the removal.
(Optional) To make it a hierarchical tag, select the parent tag from the Nest Tag dropdown.
Click Create. A success message is displayed and the newly created tag is added to the list.
Responsive doesn't currently support creating multiple tags at once directly from the Organization Settings. However, you can create tags in bulk using Excel-based upload or import workflows.
When uploading Q&A pairs from a file (Content Library → New → Q&As from File), add the tags you want to create in the Tags column of the Excel file (this works for both the Responsive standard template and custom templates).
Note: You must use a semicolon (;) to separate multiple tags. Example:Security; Compliance; RFP
When importing content updates (Content Library → Tools → Import Updates), add the tags in the Tags column of the Excel file.
During upload, existing tags are applied to the content, and any new (non-existent) tags are automatically created and applied.
