AI Draft helps bid writers and bid managers generate responses for response projects, including RFPs, RFIs, DDQs, security questionnaires, and similar questionnaires. You can choose what information AI Draft uses when generating answers by selecting an answer mode.
The available answer modes are:
Content Library answers and AI drafted answers: AI Draft uses Content Library answers first and, when needed, generates new AI-powered responses.
Content Library answers only: AI Draft uses trusted answers from only your Content Library.
Note: If you select this option, only exact matches are returned. If no exact matches are available in your library no answer will be returned.
This setting helps your organization control how much generative AI is used in the response process. This is especially useful for customers in regulated, compliance-heavy, or brand-sensitive environments that prefer to reuse approved content rather than introducing generated text.
Modes are first set at the Organization level by your Super Admin. Then, if your organization chose to use Content Library answers and AI-drafted answers, you can select a mode at the Project level for individual AI Draft runs.
You must be a Super Admin to specify AI Draft modes in Organization Settings.
To specify the AI Draft answer mode for your entire organization, go to Organization Settings > Responsive AI > Preferences and select the radio button for the mode you want to use.
Select this mode when you want AI Draft to first use Content Library content and then optionally generate additional content when needed.
Use this mode when:
You want to preserve a content-first workflow while still allowing generative AI to fill gaps.
Your Content Library does not contain a complete answer for every question.
You want bid writers to improve, expand, or optimize responses after reusing approved content.
With this mode, your existing content is applied then new AI-powered responses are generated to tailor the response to the questionnaire and audience when needed.
Select this mode when you want AI Draft to use approved, existing content from the Content Library.
Note: If you select this option, only exact matches are returned. If no exact matches are available in your library no answer will be returned.
Use this mode when:
Your organization wants to prioritize trusted, reviewed content.
Subject matter experts, compliance teams, legal teams, or other stakeholders have already approved the content.
You want to reduce review cycles and maintain consistency in submitted responses.
You want to avoid generated text.
With this mode, bid writers use approved responses that already reflect company-approved language.
You may want to use your Content Library and Responsive AI for many of your projects, but limit AI Draft to your Content Library only for a particular project or section of a project. An option on the Instructions & Filters page allows you to specify an answer mode for that run only.
After choosing a section and invoking AI Draft, you can select the mode on the AI Draft: Instructions & Filters page. That option will be used for the sections you selected.
Note: This option doesn't appear if your Super Admin chose Content Library answers only at the Organization level.
