Overview
A Traceability matrix is a document used in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process to ensure that all requirements outlined in the RFP are met by the proposed solution. It is used to track and map the requirements outlined in the RFP to the corresponding solutions.

Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

Viewing Matrix Details
- Click the requirement to view the Details pop-up.
Note: Alternately, you can click Details on the Right pane to view the information. - Click Link Questions to link to a question with a requirement.
Note: If there are any additional questions added in the project after the matrix is generated, you can manually link them.
Using Comments
Do one of the following to view comments:
- Click the Comment icon next to the requirement.
- Click the Comment icon under the Customize column.
The comments display as shown below:
You can:
- Turn on the Follow Discussion toggle to follow a discussion. Followers are notified by email
- To resolve a comment, click Resolve.
- Click the Filter icon to filter comments. You can filter comments based on Open Comments, Resolved Comments, or All.
- Click Add + to add a new comment.
- Enter text in the textbox and click Reply > to reply to a comment.
- Click Tag @ and select a user to tag them in a reply.
- Click Attachments and select an attachment to add it to a comment.
Exporting the Matrix
- Click Export on the Traceability Matrix page. The Export Traceability Matrix pop-up appears:
- Select the checkbox to include all content from the shredded document.
- Click Export to download the file. The downloaded spreadsheet appears as shown:
1. Workspace Details: This section displays information about the Workspace, date and timestamp of the export, and the author.
2. Responsibility Matrix Criteria: This section displays matrix configuration information.
3. Requirements Table: The table lists content shredded from the documents, mapped against the matrix structure.
Viewing the Matrix Configuration
- Click Menu and select View Matrix Configuration. A pop-up appears with the configuration details.
- Click the X to close the Matrix Configuration pop-up:
Deleting the Matrix
To delete the matrix, follow the steps below:
- Click Menu and select Delete Matrix. A confirmation pop-up appears.
- Click Delete to delete the matrix.
Viewing the Source View
Click Source View. The requirements are pulled from the source document and displayed in the bottom pane.
- Click the requirement to view the Details pop-up.
