Overview
If you respond to a question which has choices, and respond only in a column or cells which have a predefined drop-down fields, select drop-down as the answer type.
There are two options for the drop-down answer type:
- Normal:
- Predefined: The application automatically identifies these.
Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

Using Normal Drop-Downs
- Select the answer column and map it with ANSWER from the right menu options.
- Change the Answer Header as Response.
- Select the Answer Type as Dropdown.
- Enter values in the Value in File and Value in UI fields.
Note: Values in the UI must be unique; same values are not accepted. - Click Add Answer Option to add more values; then click Save.
- The Answer Configuration pop-up displays. Click Save.
- Click Import to import the file.
- In the Answering Page, click Select the value and choose a value from the drop-down.
- Answer the questions and export the responses in the source. You can find the responses in the exact column.
Using Predefined Drop-Downs
- Click the auto-identify drop-down icon; then select the answer column and map it with ANSWER from the right options menu.
- The Answer Configuration pop-up appears.
- Click Auto-Identify drop-downs. The Select Answers pop-up appears.
- Select the checkbox to change the answer header (if required) and then click Apply.
- Click Save and then Import.
- In the Answering Page, answer the questions and export the response in the source file.
The exported file displays as shown below:
- Select the answer column and map it with ANSWER from the right menu options.

Using Normal Drop-Downs

- Change the Answer Header as Response.
- Select the Answer Type as Dropdown.

Using Predefined Drop-Downs
- Click the auto-identify drop-down icon; then select the answer column and map it with ANSWER from the right options menu.
- The Answer Configuration pop-up appears.
- Click Auto-Identify drop-downs. The Select Answers pop-up appears.
- Select the checkbox to change the answer header (if required) and then click Apply.
- Click Save and then Import.
- In the Answering Page, answer the questions and export the response in the source file.
The exported file displays as shown below:
- Select the answer column and map it with Answer from the left menu options.
