Syncing the Responsive iCalendar with Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook

Overview

Users can sync calendar items in Responsive with their local Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook calendar. Users must enable iCalendar in Responsive in order to set up the sync with Google and Outlook.

You want to show tasks and upcoming due dates from Responsive in your local calendar.

Setting Up iCalendar in Google Calendar

  1. Click My Work from the left navigation pane.
  2. Select Calendar View from the view options, then select the toggles for the dates you want to add to your calendar (tasks due, sections due, projects due, and content reviews due).

  3. Click the Copy Link button, then click Done.
  4. Go to your Google Calendar. Click the Add mceclip5.png icon next to Other calendars.

  5. Select From URL.

  6. Paste the copied URL in the URL of calendar field and click Add calendar.

    • The Responsive iCalendar appears in your list of calendars.

    • You can see your tasks on your calendar and click on a task to view its details.

    • You can enable the reminder email notification or update/change the due date by selecting the check box in the email notification settings.
      1. Select the options icon associated with the calendar, then click Settings.

      2. Configure the settings as needed from the list of options.

Setting Up iCalendar in Microsoft Outlook

  1. Click My Work from the left navigation pane.
  2. Select Calendar View from the view options. Select the toggles for the dates you want to add to your calendar (tasks due, sections due, projects due, and content reviews due).

  3. Click the Copy Link button, then click Done.
  4. Log in to Microsoft Outlook, then click Add Calendar on the left pane. You may need to click the menu icon at the top of the page to display the pane.

  5. Select Subscribe from Web.

  6. Paste the URL from Responsive in the field and enter a name for your calendar. You can also customize it with a color and charm. When you are finished, click Import.

The items you specified on your Responsive calendar now appear in your Outlook calendar.
