OneLogin OAuth with OpenID Connect configuration

Overview

Responsive supports OAuth for authentication, you can find below the steps to integrate OAuth with OpenID Connect in Responsive.

Permissions

You must have Salesforce Admin and Responsive Admin (Access to All organization settings) to complete this process.

Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

  • OneLogin OAuth with OpenID Connect configuration

    1. Go to Organization Settings > My Organization > Security > SSO/SCIM, turn on the SSO toggle, and click Add Authentication Method
    2. Enter a name for the newly created SSO, then select OAuth as the SSO Type.
      Note: Multiple SSOs can be created for a single client instance. If required, raise a support ticket. Once approved the team will enable it for the client.
    3. In OneLogin, go to Apps > Add Apps and search for OIDC.
    4. Click OpenID Connect (OIDC) to configure the changes and click Save.
      Note: You can also set the display name and icon to be visible in the portal and the description (optional).
    5. Go to the SSO tab and paste the client ID and client secret to their respective fields.
    6. Paste the values copied from OIDC to Client ID and Client Secret fields respectively.
    7. Click the link address labeled OpenID Provider Configuration Information below the Client Secret field, then right-click to copy the URL.
    8. Paste the copied URL in the Discovery Url field, then click Populate to auto-fill the rest of the values leaving Provider Name and Scope.
    9. Go to the SSO tab and change the token endpoint from Basic to Post.

    10. Enter a unique provider name (it will be added to the Redirect URL), then enter the scope values (OpenID, name, profile, groups, email, params, phone) separated by space.
      Note: The OpenID field is mandatory.
    11. Select your preferred grant type from the Flow Type drop-down menu (Responsive supports Authorization Code and Implicit flows).
    12. Click the Copy icon to copy the Redirect URL.
    13. Paste the copied URL in the Onelogin OpenID Connect > Configuration tab > Redirect URI's field and click Save in the top right corner.

      • After completing all configurations, users can now login using SSO by clicking the SSO icon and entering their configured email.
      • They can choose providers if multiple SSO providers are configured in your organization.
  • Essentials features are subscription-based and may not be available for all users. Contact your account manager, or accountmanagers@responsive.io, for more details.
