Overview
Users can easily manage email notifications from their profile in the Responsive. Admins can also configure email notifications in Organization Settings.
Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

Managing Your Email Notifications - Users
- Go to My Account.
- Click the Preferences tab at the top of the page. The Email tab on the left is selected by default.
- Customize your email notifications as needed by clicking on the toggles. Click Save.
Managing Email Notifications - Admins
Admins can configure email notifications and keep users notified
- Go to Organization Settings.
- Select the Company menu on the left pane, and the click Email Preferences.
- Do one of the following:
- For new users, customize the email notifications as needed by clicking on the toggles and click Save.
- For existing users, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Click here to update email preference for existing users, select Yes, update the notifications, then click Save.
Email Preferences Definitions
Below is a list of all the email preferences that can be configured:
- Clarification Answered: A notification will be sent to the Clarification requestor when a Clarification in that project is answered.
- Clarification Submitted: Notifies the user when someone has submitted a clarification and it has been imported into the Clarification tab of the Project.
- Daily Task Report: Sends the user a detailed list of all the tasks they have assigned to them. Responsive gives you the ability to customize how far in advance before the individual due dates these notifications appear on the user’s Daily Task Report.
- Document Uploaded: Notifies the user when a document is uploaded and imported into a Project.
- Export Completed: An email notification will be sent to the user when a response package has been generated in Projects.
- Followed Discussion Notification: Users who are a part of a project have the option to enable the 'Follow Discussion' checkbox to follow a discussion thread. This box can be checked in the discussion tab and when a comment is created at the individual question level.
- Intake Submitted: Notifies users specified in Organization Settings > Intake Settings when a new intake is created/submitted. Configurable by Admins only.
- Mentions in Comment: Sends the mentioned user a notification when the user is "@" mentioned in a comment.
- Project Due Alert: If the user is associated with the Project Team, they will be notified with Project Due Date Alerts. The notification date is customizable based on the project due date.
- Project Status Changed: If the user is associated with the Project Team, they will be notified when the status of a project has changed.
- Questions Assigned: The user will be notified when they have been assigned as an author of a question, or section in a project.
- Content Moderation and Library Review Task Report: Sends a notification to the user if they are a moderator and if there is content pending for moderation in the Answer Library. Also sends notifications to users who own content in Answer Library, Document Library, Section Templates if the content is pending review.
- Section Assignment: If the user is assigned to a section they will be sent an email notification of a section task.
- Section Author Completed: Sends a notification to the user to indicate that the specific author has completed their portion of the section in the project.
- Section Completed: Sends a notification to the user to indicate that an entire section has been marked as complete.
- Section Ready for Review: If the user is a reviewer on a section, they will get a notification when their assigned questions are finished and submitted for review by the authors.
- Section Review Completed: Notifies all members that the section has been reviewed and completed by the reviewer.
- Section Reviewer Assignment: Notifies the user that they have been assigned as a reviewer to a section.
- Task Assignment: Notifies a user when a new task has been assigned to them.
- Go to My Account.

Email Preferences Definitions
