Exporting response packages to Salesforce

Overview

When proposals are generated in Salesforce, you must configure Responsive as follows in order to generate the export response package.

Permissions

Users must have the System Administrator privilege in Salesforce and Company Administrator privilege in Responsive to complete the installation.

Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

  • Exporting response packages to Salesforce

    1. Go to Organization Settings > Integrations > CRM tab and turn on the Salesforce toggle.

    2. Click Configure next to Salesforce to display the configuration settings. 
    3. Select the instance you want to use.
      Note: You have three instances by default: a production instance, a sandbox or test instance, and an instance with a custom domain URL. If you need an additional instance, contact your account manager.

    4. Specify the Salesforce URL for the instance.
      Note: If Custom Domain URL is selected, specify the URL in the Salesforce URL field.
    5. Select the Business Unit (BU), if applicable.
    6. Specify the sync interval.
    7. Click Connect to Salesforce.
      Note: This connects Responsive to the Salesforce instance specified and also publishes project data in Responsive for reporting in Salesforce.

    8. From the Export Response Package section, select the option Chatter & Files radio button.
      Note: Select this option when you need the export package to be published in chatter as well as in the Notes and Attachments section in Salesforce. Select Files if you need the export package to be published only in the Notes and Attachments section of Salesforce only.

    9. Check the Auto-Publish Export Response Package to Salesforce box.
      Note: Select this option only to auto-publish export response package to Salesforce. If not selected, you can manually publish the export response package at the project/intake level.
    10. Click Save to save the changes. If Auto-Publish Export Response Package to Salesforce is enabled, upon generating a proposal the export package displays on the Salesforce Chatter page as shown below:
