Overview
You can create multiple flags for the Content Library, with differentiation through color coding, for your content. You can create custom flags from the Organization Settings to make them available for selection in the Content Library. Flags can also be used for projects.
Permissions
Users with Administrative access (Super Admin, Admin with All permissions, or equal Custom Roles) will have the ability to manage these flags.
Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

Creating flags
You can create flags with custom names and can color code them from the Organization Settings. To create and color code flags, follow the steps below:
- From the Organization Settings, select Content Library, then select Flag. By default, the Follow-up flag will be displayed.
- Click Create New to add a new flag. The Create New Flags section will be displayed.
- Enter a name for the flag (mandatory).
- Click on the color icon and select a color for the flag.
- Click Create. A success message will be displayed and the newly created flag will be displayed as shown below:
In a similar way, you can add multiple flags and can color code each of them.
Flagging content
From the Content Library, you can flag the content. To flag a content, you can follow the steps below:
- On the content to be flagged, click the flag icon.
- The flags will be displayed as shown below:
- Select the required flag. The content will be flagged and will be displayed as shown below:
Note:
- On mouse over the colored flag icon, the flag names will be displayed.
- To clear the flag, you can click on the flag. The flag section will be expanded. Click Clear All to remove all the flags. You can remove each flag by clearing the checkbox associated with it. You can also click on any other flag to apply that flag.
- If the custom flag is deleted from the Organization Settings, it will be removed from the content as well.
- For content in moderation, flag icon appears disabled and cannot be edited.
- You can also flag a content from the Edit Q&A Pair pop-up's Metadata section by clicking the edit icon.
- In the Compare and Merge and Merge Duplicate Questions pop-up, you can add or remove flags, and override them from the Metadata section before merging the content.
- You can view the flags and its count details from the Content Library Insights window as well. You can click on a flag name to filter and view contents with that particular flag.
- When content is exported, flag details are also exported. You can also import flag details to the Content Library.
- You can also bulk update flags (Add/Remove).
Filtering content based on flags
From the Filter pane, you can now filter and view the content based on their flags. The flags, along with their color and count will be displayed in the Filter pane.
Advanced search based on flags
From the Content Library, you can perform an advanced search based on flags.
To search using flags, you can follow the steps below:
- To perform an advanced search, click the icon. The advanced search section appears.
- Click Yes from the Flag filter section. The section will be expanded.
- Select the required option and specify the flag name.
- Click Apply to search. The result will be displayed as shown below:
All matching content within a selected tab will be displayed. The count of content in each tab is displayed separately along with the tab name.
