Overview
Once the Responsive package is installed in Salesforce, you can customize the tabs to be displayed in the navigation pane on the landing page.
Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

Customizing tabs
The steps involved in customizing the landing page are as follows:
- Click the App Launcher icon.
- Select Sales from the App Launcher pop-up.
The Sales page with all tabs displays as shown below:
Configuring objects
Once you add the tabs to your landing page, you can customize the layout for each of these to display Responsive projects. To expand the default UI and display the Responsive projects, you can follow the steps below
- Click the Settings icon and select Setup.
- From the left navigation pane, click Platform Tools > Objects and Fields > Object Manager.
- Click Opportunity.
- From the left navigation pane, click Page Layouts.
- Click Opportunity Layout.
- From Fields, select Section and drag and drop it under Opportunity Details.
- On the Section Properties pop-up, enter Responsive Documents in the Section Name field and select the 1-Column layout button.
- Click OK.
- Click Visualforce Pages, then select ResponsiveOpportunity and drag and drop it into the Responsive Documents section.
- Once the Visualforce page has been added, click the Settings icon, or double-click on the layout, to bring up the Visualforce Page Properties pop-up.
- Type 500 in the Height (in pixels) field to add extra space when viewing the projects.
- Select the Show Scrollbars and/or Show Label checkboxes if applicable.
- Click OK. The layout displays as shown below.
- Click Save.
Repeat a similar process to edit the layouts for other object types such as Leads and Accounts.
Connecting to Responsive
After completing the setup above, you need to connect to Responsive from Salesforce in order to launch Responsive projects, associate existing projects from Responsive to Salesforce, or remove any associated projects.
- Click Connect To Responsive.
- Login with your credentials and click Continue.
- You will be taken to the Opportunity page and the Responsive Documents section displays as shown below:
- If any projects are associated with this opportunity for the company, they display under Responsive Projects.
- You will be taken to the Opportunity page and the Responsive Documents section displays as shown below:
Launching Responsive
To launch Responsive from the Salesforce page, click Launch Responsive. to be taken to Responsive's Manage Project page.
Creating projects
You can create projects in Salesforce and can sync them in Responsive.
- Click Create Project to display the Create Project pop-up, then select the company name from the drop-down options.
- Once the company name is selected, other sections (such as Basic Details and Client Details) display. Complete the required details and click Create. The project created for the opportunity displays. Click Launch Responsive to be redirected to the Responsive Project Details page.
Note: Any modifications made here are reflected in the Salesforce Responsive Documents section as well.
Repeat a similar process to create projects from Leads and Accounts.
Associating existing projects
From the Salesforce page, you can associate any existing project in your company with objects such as Opportunity, Leads, or Accounts.
- Click Associate Existing Projects.
- Select the company. A list of projects associated with the company displays.
- Select the checkbox next to the projects you want to associate with the opportunity.
Note: Multiple projects can be associated with an Opportunity. - Click Associate With Opportunity. The associated project displays in the Responsive Documents section of the opportunity.
Repeat a similar process to associate projects with Leads and Accounts.
Removing associations
- Click Remove Association, then select the checkbox associated with the project(s) to be removed.
- Click Remove Association.
