Using Attachments in Projects

Responsive allows you to include images and files with answers.

Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

  • When you apply the answer, you can click the content's three-dot menu to specify if it should remain as an attachment or if it should be embedded or pinned.

    • Attachment (default): The image or file will be attached in a separate folder when the project is exported to Word or Excel.
    • Embedded: Images will be embedded as objects when the project is exported to Word. Files will be embedded as text. If you select Embed File from the menu, the paperclip icon will change to Embedded.
    • Pinned: The image will be appended to the end of the answer when the project is exported to the Word source document or template. If the project is exported to Excel, the image will be included as an attachment. You can only pin images. If you select Pin Attachment from the menu, the icon will change to Pinned.

To embed or pin images and files, Embed Images must be set up in Organization Settings:

    1. Select Project > Preferences and scroll down to Embed Files. Click the edit icon.
Org Settings - Project - Preferences - Edit Embed Files.png

    2. Click the toggle, and then click Save.
      Enable Embed Files.png
  • Essentials features are subscription-based and may not be available for all users. Contact your account manager, or accountmanagers@responsive.io, for more details.
