Overview
Request settings such as request type, stage, and preferences can be managed from the Organization Settings. Settings specific to a request such as Workflow, Responder Settings, and Scoring can be managed during request creation.
Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

Request Type
Indicates the type of the request such as Request for Proposal, Request for Pricing, and Due Diligence questionnaires.
Adding a Request Type
To add a request type, follow the steps below:
- Login to the app, click on your user avatar and select Organization Settings.
- Click Request Management. By default, Request Type will appear.
- Click Add New. The Add Request Type pop-up appears.
- Specify a name for the request type mandatory).
- Select the status from Active/Inactive (mandatory).
- Select the background and foreground colors.
- Select the options from the Request Workflow and Evaluation Options sections.
- Click Save. The request type will be added and will appear in the Organization Settings- Type page.
Note:
- You can edit or delete a request type by clicking the edit and delete icons respectively.
- You can drag and reorder the display of the request types by clicking the icon.
Adding a Request Stage
To add a request stage, follow the steps below:
- Login to the app, click on your user avatar and select Organization Settings.
- Click Request Management and select Request Stage.
- Click Add New. The Add Request Stage pop-up appears.
- Specify a name for the request stage mandatory).
- Select the status from Active/Inactive (mandatory).
- Select the background and foreground colors.
Note: The Preview field displays the preview of the background color.
- Click Save. The request stage will be added and will appear in the Organization Settings- Stage page.
Note:
- You can edit or delete a request stage by clicking the edit and delete icons respectively.
- You can drag and reorder the display of the request stages by clicking the icon.
- You can turn off tracking the stage duration by clearing the checkbox associated with a stage.
Adding a Responder Stage
To add a request stage, follow the steps below:
- Login to the app, click on your user avatar and select Organization Settings.
- Click Request Management and select Responder Stage.
- Click Add New. The Add Responder Stage pop-up appears.
- Specify a name for the responder stage mandatory).
- Select the status from Active/Inactive (mandatory).
- Select the background and foreground colors.
Note: The Preview field displays the preview of the background color.
- Click Save. The responder stage will be added and will appear in the Organization Settings- Responder Stage page.
Note:
- You can edit or delete a responder stage by clicking the edit and delete icons respectively.
- You can drag and reorder the display of the responder stages by clicking the icon.
Customize Request Default Values
- Login to the app, click on your user avatar and select Organization Settings.
- Click Request Management and select Preferences.
- Click the edit icon associated with Request Default Values.
- Turn on the toggle switch associated with Request Default Values. The section will be expanded.
- Make the required selections and entries and click Submit.
Restricting Past Date
- Login to the app, click on your user avatar and select Organization Settings.
- Click Request Management and select Preferences.
- Click the edit icon associated with Past Date Restriction.
- Turn on the toggle switch to restrict users from selecting a past date.
- Click Submit.
Creating Request Custom Fields
To create request custom fields, you can follow the steps below:

Login to the app, click on your user avatar and Click Organization settings.

Click Request Management and select Request Custom Fields. The Organization Settings – Requests Custom Fields page will be displayed.

Click Add Field. The Add Custom Field page will be displayed.

Specify the Merge Tag Name.

Enter a Display Name for the custom field.

Specify a Group Name.
-
Select the Request Type for which the custom field has to be created.

Select the Type of the field response.

To make the field mandatory, select the checkbox associated with Required.

To make the field available in reports, select the checkbox associated with Reportable.

Specify a suffix, prefix, and help text for the field.

To include the custom field in email notification, select the associated checkbox.

To make the custom field visible to responders, select the associated checkbox.
Creating Request Response Templates
To create request custom fields, you can follow the steps below:

Login to the app, click on your user avatar and Click Organization settings.

Click Request Management and select Response Template. The Organization Settings – Response Template page will be displayed.

Click Create New. The Create New Response Template pop-up will be displayed.

Specify a name for the template.

Enter a response header (mandatory) and select the response type from the drop-down.

Select the checkbox to make response mandatory for a header.

Click Create.
Managing Request Specific Settings
To manage request specific settings, you can follow the settings below:
- Click View/Edit Settings from theRequest Details page while creating a request.
- Alternatively, you can select Request Settings from the Menu options. The Request Settings dialog box appears.
- By default, Questionnaire Builder will be turned on. To disable, turn off the toggle switch.
- To enable uploading a public RFP, turn on the toggle switch.
- Under Responder Settings, enter a name for the identifier and specify its value.
- Under Scoring, by default Scoring would be enabled. To disable scoring, turn off the toggle switch.
- Selected the scoring method from the drop-down options.
- Specify the minimum and maximum values of the boundaries.
- Select the scoring option from individual or shared scoring.
- Under scoring privacy, to display another Scorer's score, turn on the toggle switch.
- To Show Responder Name to Scorers, turn on the associated toggle switch.
- Click Save. The settings would be updated.

Request Type

- Click Request Management and select Preferences.
- Click the edit icon associated with Request Default Values.
- Turn on the toggle switch associated with Request Default Values. The section will be expanded.

Restricting Past Date
- Login to the app, click on your user avatar and select Organization Settings.
- Click Request Management and select Preferences.
- Click the edit icon associated with Past Date Restriction.
- Turn on the toggle switch to restrict users from selecting a past date.
