Comparison of the Old User Interface and the New App Launcher

Overview

To provide the best user experience possible, the global navigation components of the user interface (UI) across our products have been enhanced. This includes elements like the Module menu, application header, and page footer.

As part of this change, the module navigation strips were converted to a nine-dot menu (the App Launcher menu) along with the location of the company logo. Any customers using a logo with white text and a transparent background may need to change it to a dark version to help it appear correctly.

A comparison of the new enhancements along with their old UI are given below.

    • The left navigation pane is no longer used to navigate between different modules. It has been replaced with the App Launcher menu on the top-left corner of the page header.

Now, a sub-navigation strip is used for navigation within modules. The vertical left-side menu was replaced with a sleeker, more responsive page navigation strip that makes finding pages more predictable and intuitive.
