Using the Document Analyzer

Overview

The Document Analyzer tool analyzes documents or textual content and provides a quick summary of the document along with some key information. It leverages various AI techniques and ML algorithms to extract information, detect patterns, and derive insights from the given documents. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, such as data extraction, text classification, and more.

The tools primary goal is to automatically process and understand the content within documents, enabling efficient information retrieval, knowledge extraction, and decision-making. By simplifying the analysis of large volumes of documents, it helps organizations save time, reduce manual effort, and gain valuable insights from textual data.

You want to know the proposal delivery date, but don't want to run through the entire document looking for it. With Document Analyzer, you can extract the dates using the Key Date entity and easily locate the proposal delivery date.

Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

  • Analyzing Documents

    1. From the Workspace page, click the workspace that contains the document you want to analyze.
    2. On the Workspace home page click the + icon next to Document Analyzer. The Select Document page displays the documents available in the workspace.
    3. Select the document you want to analyze, then click Next.

      Note: If you don't see the document you want to analyze, you can add it by clicking Add a new document, selecting the document, and clicking Add.
    4. On the Select Entities page, select the entities you want to extract from the document.
      Note: At least one entity must be selected.

    5. Click Next. The Analyzing page displays while the document is being analyzed.

      • Analyzing large documents may take a longer time. You can navigate to other pages when the document is being analyzed. You will receive an email notification once analysis is complete.
      • Once the document is analyzed, a success message appears and the extracted entities are displayed:

    Managing entities

    • To update entities:
      1. Click Update Entities, then select the entities to be added for extraction on the Update Entities pop-up.
      2. Click Update. The document will be analyzed again and extracted entities will be displayed.
    • To delete any extracted entity click the associated Delete icon.
    • To view and move to any extracted entities, click the icon and select the required entity.
    • To navigate multiple occurrences of an entity click the Previous/Next icons.
    • To export the extracted entities to a PDF file, click Export PDF.

    Viewing analyzed documents

    To view the analyzed details of a document, simply clicking on it will bring up the page where the extracted entities appear.

  • Essentials features are subscription-based and may not be available for all users. Contact your account manager, or accountmanagers@responsive.io, for more details.

    1. From the Workspace page, click the workspace that contains the document you want to analyze.
    2. On the Workspace home page click the + icon next to Document Analyzer. The Select Document page displays the documents available in the workspace.
    3. Select the document you want to analyze, then click Next.
