Proposal Builder Discussions

Overview

Discussions is a collaboration feature built into your Proposal Builder. It facilitates communication and streamlines the proposal creation process. With Internal Discussions for your team and External Discussions for proposal recipients, Discussions keeps everyone informed and engaged.

Proposal Builder - Discussions offers two dedicated discussion channels:

  • Internal Discussions: Foster clear communication and efficient decision-making within your team.
     
  • External Discussions: Collaborate effectively with proposal recipients, keeping them informed and engaged anytime during the proposal process.

Internal Discussions

Internal discussions can be initiated while content is added to the proposal on Step 2: Content of the proposal building process.
Note: Internal Discussions are available only to your team and are not visible to the recipients of the proposal.

To start a discussion with your team, click Discussions [i] Discussions Icon.png.

Note: Discussion can be initiated only after a section has been created or added to the proposal.

Enter the message you want to post.

To tag a user in the discussion, click @ and select a user form the list.

To insert a section reference, click # and select the desired section from the dropdown list. This creates a hyperlink, allowing users to navigate directly to the referenced section.

To attach a file, click [i] Attachment - Paperclip.png select the file from your computer or any available cloud storage options.
To post the message, click Send.
Click the [i] Resolve Discussion.png to mark a discussion thread as resolved and hide it from view.

To view resolved discussion, set the filter to Resolved.

To edit your post or reply, click the three-dot menu and select Edit Discussion.

To delete a discussion, click the three-dot menu and select Delete Discussion.

Replies to a discussion are usually collapsed, to view them click View thread.

To collapse a discussion thread out of view, click Hide Replies.

To reopen a resolved discussion, switch the filter to Resolved. From the list, click the corresponding [i] Reopen Discussion.png on the discussion.

To react to a post or reply, click [i] Add Reaction - Emoji.png and select the desired reaction emoji.

External Discussions

External discussions is a means to collaborate effectively with proposal recipients. A proposal must be ready to be shared before you can initiate external discussions.

To start an external discussion, click [i] Discussions Icon.png and switch to External Discussions tab.

A confirmation popup is displayed. Click Confirm to continue.

Enter the message you want to post the recipients in the input box.

To tag a user in the discussion, click @ and select a user form the list.

To insert a section reference, click # and select the desired section from the dropdown list. This creates a hyperlink, allowing users to navigate directly to the referenced section.

To attach a file, click [i] Attachment - Paperclip.png select the file from your computer or any available cloud storage options.

To post the message, click Send.

Click the [i] Resolve Discussion.png to mark a discussion thread as resolved and hide it from view.

To view resolved discussion, set the filter to Resolved.

To react to a post or reply, click [i] Add Reaction - Emoji.png and select the desired reaction emoji.
