Setting Up Profile Center on Salesforce (Classic)

Overview

Once you have the Responsive package installed and set up on your Salesforce account you can set up Profile Center.

Permissions

Users must have the System Administrator privilege in Salesforce to complete the installation.

Prerequisites

As a prerequisite, you must have the Responsive package installed and set up on your Salesforce account. To install and configure Responsive on Salesforce, follow the instructions mentioned in the article below.

If you have the Responsive package installed already you can skip this step.

Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

  • Setting Up Profile Center on Salesforce

    Once you have set up Responsive follow the steps below create a new section for Profile Center. Login to Salesforce and navigate to Opportunities.

    Select an opportunity, if you don’t have one you can create one by clicking Create New > Opportunity.

    Once you have selected an opportunity, click Edit Layout.PB - Salesforce - Edit Layout.png

    Select Visualforce pages from the list as shown.

    Next, create a new section for Profile Center by dragging Section into the opportunity.

    On the Section Properties pop-up, enter Responsive Profile Center for the Section Name field and select the 1-Column layout.

    Then, click and drag ResponsiveProfileCenterOpportunity into the newly created section.

    Once the Visualforce page has been added, click the Properties icon, or double-click on the layout, to bring up the Visualforce Page Properties pop-up.

    Enter 600 or 800 in the Height (in pixels)field depending on the screen size and resolution you are using. Optionally you can enable scrollbars for better view on devices with lower resolution.

    Click Save to save the layout.

    On saving, you will be navigated to the Opportunity with the Profile Center pane as shown.

    Once the layout is created, you can perform the following actions on Salesforce.

    • View published profiles
    • Share profiles
    • Launch Responsive Profile Center from Salesforce

    Setting Up Profile Center on Salesforce

    Once you have set up Responsive follow the steps below create a new section for Profile Center. Login to Salesforce and navigate to Opportunities.

    Select an opportunity, if you don’t have one you can create one by clicking Create New > Opportunity.

    Next, create a new section for Profile Center by dragging Section into the opportunity.
