Configuring Custom Object Types in Microsoft Dynamics

Overview

Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a paid add-on feature and must be enabled prior to use. Contact your account manager, or accountmanagers@responsive.io, to enable it.

Along with configuring object types, you can configure custom object types in Microsoft Dynamics. This enables associating projects with custom object types such as Asset, Deals, Campaigns, and more.

Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

  • Configuring Custom Object Types

    1. Login to Dynamics and click Advanced Settings from the Settings menu.Int - Dynamics - Settings.png
    2. Click the Settings dropdown and select Customization.Int - Dynamics - Advanced Settings.png
    3. Click Customize the system.

    4. In the new window, navigate to Components > Entities.

    5. Select the object you want to configure.
      For example, if you want to configure Responsive in Campaign, select Campaign > Forms > Campaign.

    6. Switch to the Insert tab.

    7. Select One Column tab.

      Alternatively, if you want to configure Responsive within an existing tab as a section.

    8. Double-click on the tab to open its properties, then enter a suitable tab name in the Label field and click OK.

    9. Click Web Resource icon.

    10. Enter rfpio in the Web resource field and press enter and select rfpio_listRFP.html and click OK.

    11. Enter the Name as Responsive and click OK. The label field will be updated automatically.

    12. Next, switch to the Home tab and click Save. Then click Publish to publish the customizations.

    13. Open the Dynamics window and select the object associated with the Responsive configuration.

    14. Click +New.

    15. You can now see the configured tab. Click Connect to Responsive to login to your Responsive account.
