Reassigning sections and questions

Overview

When you are assigned as an author for a section or question, you can reassign the sections and questions to other authors even if you don’t have the Update Section permission. You can also add or remove authors/guest users from the existing sections/questions.

Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

• Enabling the Reassign Sections/Questions settings

  The Reassign Sections/Questions toggle must be turned on both in the Organization Settings and Project Settings to enable this option. If turned off in either of the settings, this functionality will not work.

  
  

   

  Turn on the same in Project Settings as well.

  

  Reassigning sections and questions

  When reassign toggle is turned on, you will have an option to select the sections that are assigned to you, and others would be disabled. You can then click on the authors/guest list to remove or add a user.

  Note: If you remove yourself from the author role, you will no longer have access to modify other authors/guest users.

  You can bulk select sections to add/remove authors and guests, and reassign authors. Only the sections assigned to you will appear selected. Also, when bulk updating,  authors and guest users will be updated only for the questions that are assigned to you within the selected sections. For example, if there are 50 questions in total and only 20 are assigned to you, when bulk updating author, the update would be applied only for the 20 questions assigned to you.

  Additionally, while bulk updating sections, if you are assigned as a reviewer to any of the questions but not as an author, the section can be selected, however, you cannot update the author.
  

  Pending Notifications Queue

  When new authors are added, the messages will be queued and displayed. You can select the user to notify. If you do not wish to notify a user, you can delete them.

  
  Activities

  When a user is added to an entire section, the activities will be tracked under Project activities. However, if a user is added to only few questions under a section, the activities are tracked under Question level activities.
  
  

  Due Date

  When you update due date for a section which has questions both assigned and not assigned to you, the new due date will be applicable only for the questions for which you are an author and not for other questions, provided the Question level due date settings is turned on in Master settings. If this setting is turned off, the due date will not be updated.
