Overview
Responsive LookUp and Responsive AI are add-on features and must be enabled prior to use. Contact the Customer Success Team, or customersuccess@responsive.io, to enable them.
Responsive LookUp for Word and Excel gives everyone at your organization access to content in Responsive without having to directly log in to the application and get subject matter expertise when they need it, where they need it. In just a few clicks, you can search for information and Responsive AI will generate a response. You can modify the response as needed and copy it or apply it to the file.
Using Responsive with your favorite Microsoft applications saves time and reduces the risks of using inaccurate information.
You want to use text approved by your Legal department in an email to a prospect, or create a Word document with product information from your Content Library.
Select the applicable tab for your edition of Responsive.

Searching Content
You can search for Content Library content using a keyword search. Enter the words and press Enter or click the blue up arrow

Searching with text in the document
You can select text in the file and that text will automatically appear in the chat window. Click Find Response.
Responsive AI will generate a response. Click one of the options to change it. Click the three-dot menu to see additional options. You can also enter changes in the field. Click the blue arrow again to generate the updated text.
Click Sources to see the materials Responsive AI used to generate the answer.
Note: If you are working with an Excel spreadsheet, click on the cell with the question. When you apply the answer, Responsive AI will place it in the cell to the right of the cell you clicked on.If you modify content in LookUp before applying it, the changes are not saved back to the Content Library.
Applying or pasting content
When you have the final version of the answer, click the copy icon to copy the text or click Apply to put the change into the original file.
- If you use Apply to update a Word document, the answer is added after the text you highlighted. If you use it to update an Excel file, it will put the answer in the cell to the right of the highlighted cell.
- If you modify content in LookUp before applying it, the changes are not saved back to the Content Library.
- Using Copy will bring the text along with its styles as set in the Content Library.
Note: You cannot view properties in the new UX, you must switch back to the old UX.
To view properties associated with the content, click the View Properties icon. -
