Creating Trust Center update notes

Updated 12 days ago

Overview

You can publish notes to call attention to something in a Trust Center, and subscribers will get an email with the note.

There are two distinct notification paths:

  • Update Note notifications: When someone publishes a document change and uses the Update Note checkbox, an immediate notification about that specific update is sent.

  • Daily batched email notifications: Notifications for Document changes available and FAQ changes available are not sent immediately when the Update Note checkbox is disabled. Note: These emails are not driven by the Update Note process. If Trust Center subscribers want to stop receiving these notifications, you can manage them by following the Managing Trust Center email notifications process.

You can only create update notes in published Trust Centers.

Creating Trust Center update notes

  1. Open the Trust Center and turn on the Updates toggle to enable the feature.

  2. Enter the notes title and description.

    • The description field is Basic Rich Text and cannot contain images.

    • If this is a critical note, select the Mark as Critical toggle.

  3. Click Post. The title appears in the Trust Center so you can easily find the note, and the text in the description is emailed to any subscribers.

    • The note appears in the Updates section of the Trust Center.

    • You can click the Edit icon to edit the note or the Trash icon to delete it.
